"Social justice" sure sounds like a good thing. Now, if we could just agree on what it is...

Smart Growth, Socialism and other progressive utopian schemes have a common, scary fault: sooner or later they assure us that they will be "fair" or "equitable" and always act in accordance with deep moral principles.

Translation: "trust me!"

Here's another small difficulty; it's all subjective! What is justice to one is outrage to another.

The use of subjective, undefined and vague terms in the supporting premise of an argument condemns it to produce only error.

Many economic theories are simply hogwash, but economics itself is quite real. Bad ideas have consequences, good intentions don't count.
